Elizabeth Bartel
Elizabeth Reimer Bartel was born in Steinbach and raised in southern Manitoba. She has written two novels based on her family’s history, and an autobiography, About Those Reimers. She was one of eight West Coast poets who published A Murder of Crones in 2009. Elizabeth Bartel lives in Victoria on Vancouver Island, but keeps one foot firmly planted in the prairie soil of her childhood.
